*Gorefest

Gorefest is Improv Boston's annual slasher-comedy-musical that runs during October.

Each year a new script is written, all original music is composed, and gallons and gallons of fake blood are hauled in to create the show. Here's my history of involvement:

2008: I played Morgan Moore in Gorefest VI: Boatload of Blood. Book: Don Schuerman, Music: Steve Gilbane.
2009: I was in Gorefest VII: The Worster Seed  as Angel Steward (the "worster" seed). Book: Matt Chapuran, Music: Steve Gilbane.
2010: I co-wrote the book for Gorefest VIII:  Cirque De Slaughté.  The music was composed by Steve Gilbane.  I then had the privilege of co-directing the production alongside Gorefest creator and producer, Don Schuerman.

The Boston Phoenix ran a slideshow with stills from the production: http://thephoenix.com/Boston/arts/111090-photos-gorefest-viii-cirque-du-slaughte/

This was also the first year we had a promotional music video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpq6y5EDzlI&feature=player_embedded

2011: I teamed up with  Laura Clark (stand up comedian, director- writer - performer with The Dowry, and former head of Improv Boston's sketch writing department), to co-write the book for Gorefest IX: MASSacre General Hospital.  The music was composed by Melissa Carubia. The production was directed by Bobby Smithney.

You can hear some great hits of Gorefests past by visiting Steve Gilbane's online home and clicking on the "Gorefest" link in the list on the left hand side of the page.

Look for the development of an all Gorefest website coming soon!
